Hiroko creates ceramics that are mainly influenced by the Japanese Mingei folk art movement. Her work pieces go under the name of a•pottery. She has a distinctive style that involves working with earthenware terracotta clay. Each piece is hand-built, finished with its own unique slipware pattern, glazed and finished with a honey glaze.
